At the beginning of the page you can read the following: "Florindo's serenade from Goldoni's Liar, adapted to the rhythm of the melody "Se Florindo e fedele", by the Italian composer Alessandro Scarlatti (sic) (1659-1725)".The lyrics were adapted by Nikolaos Poriotis himself και δημοσιεύτηκαν στην Ξένη λύρα Α΄:Τραγούδια ξένα με λόγια ελληνικά ταιριασμένα στο ρυθμό της μουσικής (Αθήνα, Τυπογραφείο Εστίας, 1925). Η συγκεκριμένη συλλογή αποτελεί έκδοση μεταφρασμένων ποιημάτων και στίχων προερχόμενων από φωνητικά έργα κλασικής μουσικής.
