At the end of the score there is the following handwritten note by the composer: "In the phrase "Oh Hymenae, Oh Hymenae" etc. there are continuous vowel gaps. That is why the melody was written in such a way that this "defect" is transformed into an impressive effect: "An orgiastic scream where the various vowels, succeeding one another, ultimately compose a vocal perpetual undulation".
